At the Animal Welfare League, our dedicated volunteers and generous donors are the heart of everything we do. Volunteerism demands time, effort, and hard work, and as a public charity, we are grateful for those who contribute to making a real impact.
While our network includes professionals, business people, lawyers, construction workers, educators, moms, and dads who are passionate about helping animals, many are unable to volunteer due to time constraints.
This is where the AWL plays a vital role in connecting donors with organizations in need. By making a tax-deductible financial donation through our fiscal sponsor, the "Saint Lazarus Relief Fund" (SLRF) to the "Animal Welfare League" (AWL), your support will directly benefit the many certified 501(c) organizations we assist, enabling them to continue providing essential medical care, rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption services for animals in need.
Ways to Help in Your Local Community
It's extremely important to help animal causes. Here are some ways you can make a difference by helping animals in your local community directly: 1. Contact local shelters to find out what they need. 2. Consider adopting a pet from your local shelter or rescue. 3. Explore the option of fostering a pet. 4. Share adoption and fundraising events of local shelters on social media. 5. Offer to take photos and write adoption profiles for animals. 6. Donate household items such as pet-safe cleaners or old blankets for bedding. 7. Look for useful free items like crates, pet bowls, and cat furniture on platforms like Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and others. 8. Spend time socializing with shelter animals by walking dogs or spending time with cats. 9. Volunteer to transport animals to vet appointments. 10. Organize and hold a fundraiser to support animal welfare.
Donate to an Animal Rescue Organization
Your financial donation to the Animal Welfare League (AWL) is tax deductible. It will help provide food, shelter, and care for homeless animals, all of whom share the common goal of finding a stable and loving forever home. When adoption is not an option, we also support sanctuary facilities that provide love and care for the duration.
